PAWS Atlanta is now offering a basics training class for you and your pup! Our incredible trainer, MarLee Thompson CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, SDC, will lead this class with her expert-level knowledge. You're sure to leave the class with new information and skills for a happier life for both you and your dog.

Cost: $175 for 6 sessions

Class Size: 6 dogs maximum

Next Class Begins: March 9, 2024

Registration is now open! Classes take place outdoors, so be prepared to dress appropriately. If any inclement weather arises, our trainer will be in touch to reschedule if necessary. Classes begin at 11am and last for an hour.

Week 1: Human Only Orientation

Week 2: Touch, Automatic Check-Ins, Recall

Week 3: Down, Stay

Week 4: Loose Leash Walking, Greeting People Politely

Week 5: Drop It, Leave It

Week 6: Place, Review

This is a beginner class, intended for dogs who are comfortable in the presence of unfamiliar humans and other dogs. If your dog displays fearful or aggressive behavior (ex: cowering, fleeing, growling, barking/lunging, baring teeth, air snapping, or biting) toward other dogs or humans, this class isn't the right fit for you.
