Popeye, age four, came to PAWS Atlanta two years ago when he was rescued during a natural disaster. However, this early stress didn’t dampen his spirit. Popeye is joyful, funny guy. He enjoys hanging out with his person and playing with all of his toys (and the occassional rolled up pair of socks :)). He’s been in a few foster homes and has made a lot of strides. He’s a silly guy and, no doubt, finds a way to cause a little trouble wherever he goes, but it’s all in good fun – he just wants to have a good time! 

Popeye would enjoy finding an active forever home with a lot of enrichment. His foster mom thinks he would absolutely thrive in an adult only home without other dogs (he wants to be your one and only!). Popeye is up for just about anything. He loves to leash train, and would do wonders with someone who would be willing to socialize him more and understand that progress just takes time with him (like it does with all of us).  

If you’re looking for a pup with personality to spare, Popeye is your guy! You never know what he’s going to be up to next – recently, in his foster home, he decided to give rocking chairs a try.
