For the Long Haul

While some rescued animals find the home that's right for them immediately, others take a while to find the perfect family. At PAWS Atlanta, we're in it for the long haul. No matter how long it takes, we're here to support and provide for every cat and dog in our care.

Sadly, we currently have 37 dogs and four cats who have been in our care for over a year, some for multiple years. Sometimes, the longer an animal stays in a shelter, the harder it is for them to find a home. Shelter life can be stressful for animals, no matter how much love they receive. Our long-term animals are often stuck in a cycle of being overwhelmed and overlooked. 

Thankfully, your commitment to helping homeless animals at PAWS Atlanta gives these animals the second chance they deserve. Your generosity makes this possible. Because of you, 592 pets have found loving homes in 2023 so far. You never gave up on these animals, and, because of that, they're able to thrive. Animals like Daydream, Matthew, Fig, and Beowulf have found their perfect family.

With a fundraising goal of $70,000, we aim to end this challenging year with all the resources necessary to continue finding the perfect home for each animal. With every financial donation, you provide a second chance for an animal to receive the care and nourishment they need.
