Deloitte Impact Day

On June 10th, we were fortunate to host 100 members of Deloitte’s Atlanta team on-site for their annual Impact Day.  Not only did they show up ready for a hard day of work, but they also fully funded the rental of all required tools and supplies for each project. They were able to complete the following tasks in less than five hours:

  • - Installed crushed stone in the two off-leash areas behind the shelter
  • - Dug a drainage swale and backfilled it with crushed stone to help address stormwater management issues 
  • - Painted the shelter supply shed
  • - Landscaped in front of the admin trailer ramp
  • - Landscaped around the PAWS Atlanta monument sign
  • - Spread wood chips in the off-leash area
  • - Picked up downed limbs and branches from the walking trails
  • - Spread crushed stone in front of the Intake exterior door


We also had a team member meet and fall in love with one of our dogs. Sweet Pete found his forever home with a volunteer who promised to spoil him rotten.
