Crazy Daisy is home.
Daisy (known as Marianna at PAWS) was adopted over 5 years ago! She is loving life with her new family, so her mom wanted to share an update with Daisy's biggest fans.
Five years ago, Daisy met a family who decided she was the perfect fit. She went home to a family filled with humans, dogs, cats, and, most importantly, unconditional love. Since her adoption, Daisy has been busy balancing learning and fun with her mom by her side.
She became a certified therapy dog with “Happy Tails,” where she provides cuddles and laughs to patients during pet therapy visits. Did we mention she earned the nickname ‘Crazy Daisy’ because of her charismatic personality, tricks, and agility? Daisy also qualified for the Emory Canine Cognitive Neuroscience Study where she learned to sit very still for functional MRIs. Her cooperation is furthering research regarding the canine brain. A new skill Daisy is learning with her mom is “tracking”; she uses her nose to follow scent paths, ultimately leading her to lots and lots of treats.
Daisy is a mama’s girl, and they have a relationship that continues to grow. She also recently became a big sister, and she shows her little brother tricks and manners, making her a teacher too. Her life these past five years has been nothing but family fun, growth, and treats. This success story was made possible by our amazing PAWS Atlanta supporters and our dedicated staff. We hope every family gets to experience their own kind of “Crazy Daisy.”
