Two years ago, Dew was adopted from PAWS Atlanta. However, it was a long journey to get there. Dew was surrendered to us by her previous owner when she could no longer care for her. This was an abrupt change for Dew, and it took several months for her to become comfortable in the Cat Cottage. Even then, she was shy and withdrawn, making it difficult for potential adopters to see how wonderful she was. 

Eventually, Dew went to a foster home, where she was much more relaxed and began to show us her personality. While she was somewhat shutdown in the shelter, she was a lovebug in her foster home. Because she had a hard time meeting new people at the shelter, though, it took a year for Dew to find a new home.

Finally, Dew went to her loving home in May of 2022! Since then, she's become attached at the hip with her parents. Her variety of facial expressions show us that she's not afraid to tell everyone what she's thinking, and that she feels comfortable, safe, and loved. Her mom recently sent us this update: "Dew loves laying on top of me and my partner, sleeping on her window perch in the sunshine, and sniffing all our meals. I don't know what I would do without her, and I love her more everyday. Thank you guys so much for bringing her into our lives!"
