What do we do at a volunteer orientation?
During the orientation you will learn about PAWS Atlanta’s history and our policies and procedures and you will be given a tour of the facility.  
What are the volunteer hours?

We are open to volunteers from 8:30am to 5:00pm every day. If there are changes to volunteering hours due to holidays or events, this will be communicated to volunteers through email in advance. 

Where is the shelter located?

Our shelter is located at 5287 Covington Highway, Decatur, 30035. We are around 10 minutes from Downtown Decatur and can be easily accessed from I-20 and I-285.

How old do you have to be to volunteer?
The minimum age to begin volunteering at PAWS is 18.
How can my group get involved in volunteering?

We love our volunteers and we welcome volunteer groups of all sizes. If you would like to schedule a group to volunteer at PAWS Atlanta, please send an email to our Volunteer and Database Coordinator, Sam Long, at slong@pawsatlanta.org with the number of people in your group and any preferences regarding dates and/or times.

Attend an Orientation

After submitting the application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to register yourself for an upcoming orientation.

Schedule a Time

After attending an orientation session, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule yourself for future volunteer opportunities.
