Lady Lancaster's Story
Lady Lancaster came to PAWS Atlanta in December of 2022, when she was only a few months old. She charmed everyone with her beautiful eyes and floppy puppy ears. Surprisingly, she was still with us a year later, but in January of 2023, she was adopted. However, she was returned back to the shelter ten months later. We hated to see her back, but we also wanted her to find a home that was the best fit for her.
Three months later, in February of this year, Lady Lancaster finally met her now-mom! She was looking for a pup who already had some training but had plenty of room to grow and continue to learn. She was also looking for a dog who would be able to provide some emotional support. We knew smart, sweet Lady would be the perfect fit. After meeting a few of our pups, her mom knew it too!
She says, "We are more than happy that Lady Lancaster has joined our home. She's almost too friendly for her own good, which I'm very happy about. It offers us room to welcome another dog to our home down the line if and when we have room for it, as I think she'd enjoy a companion.
Lady keeps me laughing with her teenage shenanigans, and she's proven to be a smart and adaptive girl when she's up for training! She gets compliments from everyone who meets her. She's helped ease some of my fears and expand my comfort zone out in the world. She's even made conversations easier.
She loves to play for hours and is learning the body language of other dogs quickly and easily. We plan to take her to some more walking trails now that the weather is warm. Though she still has growing to do, she fits well into our home and makes our days a little more lively with her antics (like sneaking a lick off our plates!).
We adore Lady. I'm happy such a sweet girl joined us!"
