Living the dream

Billie’s life completely changed for the better just two and a half months ago. Mindy and her sons came to PAWS Atlanta looking to fill their home with joy after grieving the loss of their beloved rescue. After three separate meetings, they found their perfect match: Billie Howliday, an 8-month-old pup eager to find his forever family. 

Though skittish at first, Billie has grown to become confident and curious. He took his time getting potty trained, but through positive reinforcement, patience, and an abundance of cleaning supplies, Mindy and her family have transformed Billie into an avid outdoor bathroom user. Billie loves long walks spent exploring the neighborhood trails and playing fetch with his brothers; however, his soft side shines through when he snuggles up on the couch with his mom each night.

Billie has quickly become an integral part of his family. He falls asleep right beside Mindy’s oldest son (9), helping him relax and feel secure. He accompanies his mom when she picks the kids up from school, and they explode with excitement each time they see him in the backseat. Billie has also been friendly with everyone he crosses paths with, humans and fur friends alike. 

Billie has become “SUPER” comfortable in his new home, and Mindy describes him as the “absolute perfect addition to the family.”
