Meet Henry Yoo

PAWS Atlanta Board Member

Henry Yoo joined our Board of Directors in the spring of 2023, and he's already been a huge asset to our team. We hope you enjoy getting to know him too! Check out our interview with Henry below.

Why did you decide to join the PAWS Atlanta Board?

All the dogs we've had over the years have been rescue dogs. I've always wanted to spend time working with an animal shelter organization. Rescue work is driven from love and passion for finding homes for all the pets in the community. It was great timing that brought me to PAWS Atlanta when I saw a post on social media from one of my connections. I threw my name in for consideration and have enjoyed working with every teammate at PAWS Atlanta.

What type of work do you do outside of PAWS Atlanta?

I work for Comcast in the Battery in Atlanta. I'm in the Finance department and focus on the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for the customer service organization. I've been with Comcast for 20 years and had the opportunity to support all facets of the business from marketing strategies and revenue FP&A along with every operating organization.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies?

I enjoy running and participating in races around the greater Atlanta area. I've been fortunate to complete a couple of marathons and participate every year for the past eight years in the Peachtree Road Race on July 4th. I like to play golf as well but don't get on the course as much as I would like to.

Tell us about your pets and your family!

I live with my partner, Meg, and our two rescue pups: Paddy and Baxter. Just last year, we lost our two elderly rescues, Ranger and Penny. We rescued Baxter from Mostly Mutts and Paddy from PAWS Atlanta. We are so fortunate to have two pups that are affectionate, loving, and lively.

Anything else you want to share about you?

We enjoy traveling and try to make a trip to Cancun every year. We have plans to travel to Ireland later this year and to Korea in 2024.

Thank you to Henry and all our Board members for all they do for our animals!
