Jack Straw believes in practicing gratitude - for his second chance, for chew toys, for peanut butter Kongs and everything in between. At the fun-loving age of 2, he appreciates adventuring, taking naps, and most of all treats (and of course, the people who carry them in their pockets)! Jack is thankful to his foster parents for giving him a practice run at living in a home, but is now ready to find his forever family.
From his fosters, Jack has been described as an easygoing guest and a joy to be around. He is crate trained and easily entertains himself when things around the house get busy. He loves going for daily walks and trying to chase, albeit unsuccessfully, the squirrels of Atlanta.
Although the friends that he has met at Hodgepodge Coffeehouse– where he has quickly become a regular – can attest to his friendliness, Jack is still working on doggie social skills. He has made great improvements when it comes to unexpectedly running into other animals during walks, but we think Jack would fit best in a home where he is the only dog. If you are okay with that, you'll find he is a warm, affectionate, loyal, and easy companion. As his foster described, his future family “has a real winner on their hands!”
If you'd like to meet Jack, please submit an adoption application and we'll take it from there.
