1,400 adoptions and counting!
Java Cats Café has been a crucial partner for us over the past few years. They began with an entrepreneurial dream and blossomed into a well-loved local business. Java Cats has provided space and socialization for hundreds of our residents and found forever homes for over 1,400 cats!
We're deeply saddened their time in Grant Park has come to an end. While their Marietta location will remain open, their Atlanta location in Grant Park will be closing their doors in March. Make a reservation today to visit Java Cats Café in their last few weeks.
One of the biggest goals for Java Cats before they close is to find adopters for all of their residents. They are doing a phenomenal job in accomplishing this feat - as we wrote this, we had to change the featured cat twice because they kept getting adopted! Lil Missy (below) is one of the residents still searching for her people.
She was trapped at a feral colony after most likely being left there by a previous owner. Initially, it was questionable whether she would even be friendly enough to find a family, but after working with a foster and coming out of her shell in the cat lounge, she is a whole new lady! She went from running and hiding from everyone to chasing laser pointers and asking for pets! Lil Missy is a gorgeous girl who deserves a wonderful family. She does seem to prefer men over women and will need a family who can be patient with her as she settles in. Her adoption fee is already paid through our Secret Crush Club, so she's ready to go when her new family is!
We know her human is out there somewhere! Is it you?
If you're interested in Lil Missy or adopting another Java Cats resident, schedule a reservation to meet the cats!
As Java Cats prepares to close, PAWS Atlanta also needs your help! Java Cats has been a gamechanger for our cats, preventing overcrowding, and providing more socialization opportunities for our kitties to get out of the shelter and into homes more quickly. We're searching for individual foster families and businesses that are willing to host one or more adoptable cats (think bodega cats but better!).
