Shelter life can be difficult for certain dogs, especially seniors. This rings true for Milo, and why he was a top priority to find a foster home. Now, we’re really hoping to get our adorable pibble tripod noticed by a lasting family: people who will adore him as much as we do.
Milo’s journey at PAWS Atlanta started many years ago when he was abandoned at our shelter one night. We will never forget the first moment we met Milo – he sprinted out of the darkness, smiling with excitement to meet us, and immediately plopped down for a belly rub. It was love at first sight and we think it’s impossible not to love a dog as sweet as Milo.
Since then, Milo has made life brighter for everyone he's met. He was fostered by two of our team members and made for the perfect house guest - always happy and excited to see you. His fosters knew that Milo would love to find a permanent home, where he could grow and thrive. He soon found one with a loving family, including another puggle from PAWS Atlanta. After over five years of friendship, love, and companionship, both his puggle sibling and beloved human father tragically passed away. Milo’s mother eventually decided to adopt a new dog, who Milo did not take to, so he came back into our care.
During the pandemic, Milo has been fortunate enough to stay with two compassionate fosters. Milo has been the best roommate - very chill and up for anything, whether it be playing outside in the grass or taking a nap in your lap. One of his foster moms, Leah, describes him as being “very low-maintenance - house trained, non-destructive, and pretty good on a leash”, in addition to his sociable and caring personality.
As of last Friday, a kindhearted person stepped up to be a long-term foster for Milo since his former foster began traveling again for work. He has already made himself right at home and it does our hearts good to know he's in a comfy home. But Milo still yearns for a permanent family - people who will love him as much a he loves them. While he may be vintage now (9 years old), Milo is just as perfect as he was the first day we met him. He is so incredibly funny, kind, playful, and joyful. His favorite activities include car rides, belly rubs, hanging out with friends, and anything else you may be interested in.
Due to the generosity of one of his adoring fans, Milo’s adoption fee has been covered! If you’re interested in meeting Milo, please send your completed adoption application to info@pawsatlanta.org and schedule an appointment to meet this very good boy.
