Freckles is a pup full of love and trust. He is deeply attached to his human friends and loves to be snuggled right up next to you, as close as possible. 

At 3, Freckles has already been through quite a lot. He was abandoned in our parking lot two separate times, which breaks our hearts. However, this sweet guy has made a lot of progress at PAWS Atlanta. We’ve watched him grow in confidence and open himself back up to being loved. He is starting to feel much better about things, smiling and showing joy again. It has taken some time to rebuild his confidence, and we're excited to see more of his happy, silly side.

Freckles thrives with stability and routine. He wants breakfast at the same time each morning followed by a social outing with his friends while walking on our nature trail. He loves treats and will sit politely for them. He's a big fan of playtime in our off leash area - this is where he really shows off his goofy side! At the end of the day, he needs a good snuggle right before bedtime, and we're more than glad to give it to him.

Freckles is working on a few of his social skills. He can pass other dogs politely, but he gets a bit nervous about being restrained. He's responding well to his training and could become more comfortable over time, but for now we recommend he go to an adult-only home. We’ve not yet tried him one-on-one with the other dogs in our program, and we don’t know about cats. At least for now, being an only child would be the best fit for him.
