Communications Internship
PAWS Atlanta is looking for an energetic, highly-motivated individual to manage communication efforts while gaining a deeper knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, communications, and special events. This is an unpaid, part-time position. Hours are flexible with ability to work remotely.
Essential Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain communication calendar including e-blasts, direct mail, and social
media efforts
• Assist in planning, writing and managing bi-weekly eNewsletter
• Update PAWS Atlanta website as needed
• Develop a social media strategy for appeals, fundraisers, special events; increasing
social media presence
• Maintain and update the donor database as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development
Additional Qualifications
• A demonstrated commitment to PAWS Atlanta’s mission and values
• Ability to work minimum of 16 hours per week, with ability to work remotely
• Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (experience with Salesforce
database a plus)
• Desire to learn more about marketing, communications, and fundraising
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Self-starter who is able respond to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Internship Objectives
• Gain experience in project management, communications, marketing, fundraising, and
day-to-day operations of a nonprofit
• Enhance communication and fundraising skills
• Learn to use nonprofit software such as Salesforce
• Better understanding of Atlanta nonprofit network
Community Events Internship
PAWS Atlanta is looking for an energetic, highly-motivated individual to manage community events and provide administrative support while gaining a deeper knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, special events, and operations. This is an unpaid, part-time position, with the ability to work remotely
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage third party fundraising events – research, create, and maintain a relationship
with third party coordinator, market event to PAWS Atlanta donors and volunteers,
attend the event
• Assist in event planning and management for signature event, Party for the PAWS –
duties include contacting vendors, soliciting and managing auction items, working with
committees, event set-up, and volunteer management
• Develop a social media strategy for fundraisers and special events; increasing social
media presence
• Maintain and update the donor database as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends

PAWS Atlanta is looking for an energetic, highly-motivated individual to manage Georgia Gives Day campaign efforts while gaining a deeper knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, communications, and marketing. This is an unpaid, part-time position with the ability to work remotely.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage Georgia Gives Day campaign, researching resources and successful strategies,
incentives, and possible match
• Develop and implement strategy
• Develop and implement communications calendar and plan; increasing social media
presence
• Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development
