Daydream arrived at PAWS Atlanta in 2015 from a busy local animal control. Our team immediately fell in love with her, and we knew there was a special home out there for this special girl. However, it took much longer for her to find the right home than we ever imagined.

When meeting new people, Daydream often became nervous which made it hard for her to connect with potential adopters. She was overlooked for five years before meeting her mom and dad. It breaks our hearts that she had to wait for so long. She was 10-years-old when she was adopted, but she's now living her best life with her family!

Toward the end of 2020, her now-parents came to meet her for the first time, and it was love at first sight. Our adoption team worked with them to ensure they truly understood Daydream before bringing her home. The last thing we wanted was for her to end right back up at PAWS Atlanta after all that time. After three meetings, though, they knew that Daydream was their girl! Daydream finally went home in December of 2020.

Three years later, her mom says Daydream is doing well. She’s a little grayer and a little rounder, but she still acts like a puppy, despite the fact that she's 13-years-old now! She loves taking walks and cuddling. Her mom sent us this sweet update: "We dote over our girl! She is happy, healthy, super smart, and living her best life!  We love our crazy mutt!"

Every animal in our care deserves to be doted on, and we want each one of them to find the loving homes they deserve.
