101 Ways to #BeLikeBetty

In honor of the late actress and animal activist Betty White, we're celebrating 101 ways to #BeLikeBetty! Betty's 101st birthday is Tuesday, January 17, and we want YOU to celebrate with us!

  1. Adopt a pet! - Celebrate Betty's 101st birthday by bringing home a furry friend! Check out our adoptable cats and dogs under the "Pets" tab above, and fill out an application to get the ball rolling.

  2. Take the #BettyWhiteChallenge! - Shelters and rescues around the country are asking supporters to take the #BettyWhiteChallenge by making a one-time donation

  3. Be a Guardian Angel - Being a year-round financial supporter is an incredible way to help homeless animals, and it comes with special benefits!

  4. Volunteer with your group - We all need a little fresh air these days, so grab your family, classmates, coworkers, and disc golf club! We would love to host you.

  5. Become a foster parent - Can't make a long-term commitment but still want to have the world's greatest WFH companion? Foster a shelter animal! Taking breaks from the shelter allows them to live their #bestlife.

  6. Get (your pet) vaccinated! - Keeping your pet's shots up to date is crucial for their safety and the safety of our community. Take a look at our packages and upcoming dates under the "Events" tab.

  7. Get that merch - Shop for a cause in our online store: t-shirts, hats, mugs, and more! Plus, some awesome new items will be dropping soon.

  8. Grant our Wish (List) - We're always in need of supplies, from dog food to printer ink. Check out our Amazon Wish List to send a few gifts straight to our doorstep.

  9. Spay and Neuter - This is HUGE! By spaying or neutering your pet, you prevent overpopulation and more homeless animals. Find a low-cost clinic here.

  10. Advocate and Educate - Tell your neighbors and friends about all of the ways to save animals' lives. Many people in your community still have plenty to learn about animal welfare. Tell them about your experience with PAWS!

  11. TNRC - Trap-neuter-return-care is an important way to care for community cats. Not all cats are adoptable, and that's okay! Many feral cats are five-chilli-pepper-spicy and want permanent introvert time (honestly, same). Getting them fixed and vaccinated prevents overpopulation and the spread of disease.

  12. Join our Secret Crush Club - It's not Jimmy from 6th grade, but it's definitely cuter. If you can't take an animal home, you can sponsor an adoption for another family! Animals whose fees are already paid have a higher chance of finding their forever family.

  13. Send a Valentine that saves lives! - No chalky-tasting message hearts here! Make a donation this February and we'll send a Valentine to someone you love. More info coming soon!

  14. Share your Story - Is your little buddy a PAWS alum? We're obsessed with a good happy-ever-after moment. Reach out to Brenna at blakeson@pawsatlanta.org and tell them how your pet is doing. We would love to feature them in our newsletter or on social media.

  15. Choose PAWS Atlanta on AmazonSmile - Select PAWS Atlanta as your charity on Amazon, and give back with every purchase! It's so easy and makes a huge difference.

  16. Kroger Community Rewards - Get your groceries and help a pet! Link your Kroger card to PAWS and Kroger automatically donates to us.

  17. Indulge in some Puppy Therapy - The best stress reliever is, of course, a pile of puppies. Schedule a Puppy Therapy session for your office, community group, or school by reaching out to Harriet at hribbons@pawsatlanta.org.

  18. Join a host committee - We rely on supporters like you to help us put on fundraising events without a hitch. If you want to be a part of our Walk for the PAWS or Party for the PAWS events, contact Harriet at hribbons@pawsatlanta.org!

  19. Donate your vehicle - Did you know that you can donate your truck, car, or boat? It's hassle-free and 100% tax deductable. Get started here.

  20. Brainstorm your own! 101 is a big number, so we need our supporters to complete the list. Share on social media (and tag @pawsatlanta) about the ways you and your pets will #BeLikeBetty!
