Flubber was adopted from PAWS Atlanta in 2019. He came to PAWS Atlanta from a different shelter, where he had already spent some time. He was more than ready to find a loving home. Thankfully, he was only at PAWS Atlanta for two months before Nicole and Walter came to meet him. They reached out to us recently to celebrate is fourth "Gotcha Day"!

Why did you decide to adopt Flubber?

We decided to adopt after our last dog passed away. We had been dog-less for a little over a year and felt that it was finally time to add a new furry family member.

How is Flubber doing now?

Flubber is doing great now! He's a typical white boxer: a finicky eater, stubborn as can be, but super goofy and full of love. "Excitable" was written on his kennel card description when we first met him, and we quickly discovered that you weren't joking! Now we know why PAWS Atlanta named him Flubber - he bounces off the walls just like the movie. 

Do you have any other pets? How is Flubber's relationship with them?

A year ago, we rescued another dog, but this time it wasn't planned . My father-in-law passed away and his wife wasn't able to keep thier dog. She was originally a stray that showed up on their property, and we didn't want her to end up homeless again, so we agreed to add her to our family. Her name is Princess. She loves her Flubber, and Flubber loves her!

What kinds of activities does Flubber enjoy?

Flubber loves chasing his sister in the yard and running laps at full speed. He also enjoys being on guard duty, barking at  his "shadow friends" (any moving shadow) and making sure our house remains rodent-free.

How does Flubber show his love?

At night, he climbs up on the couch and snuggles with us while we watch TV. We recently discovered that he's also a good nurse. Walter had surgery, and Flubber wouldn't leave his side for a minute. He often shows his love by giving kisses and snuggles up to his human of choice. 

What do you love the most about Flubber?

We love his personality. I have never had a dog quite like him and we wouldn't trade him for anything!
