T'Challa's Story
T'Challa had a difficult start to life. He came to PAWS Atlanta after being rescued from a hoarding situation where he was one of 21 dogs removed from the house. None of this dampened his spirit, though. He was charming and friendly to everyone he met, people and pups alike, so we were surprised and frustrated when T'Challa was overlooked month after month. A few applications came in for him, but adopters chose another pup each time. While we were glad to see some of our other pups find homes, we wished that someone would choose T'Challa.
After nine months in the shelter, T'Challa finally went to a foster home. We learned that he was a huge snuggler and loved going on car rides. It was wonderful to watch him blossom in his foster home, and we were delighted when, eight months after she began fostering him, his foster mom decided to adopt him! She realized that she couldn't imagine giving him up to anyone else, and she made it offical.
She says, "He is the sweetest pup and I’m so thankful for him! Forever my boy. Thank you for all the support PAWS has provided since I began fostering him.” We're so grateful to all of our fosters and are especially happy when a foster placement ends in an adoption. Happy tails, sweet T'Challa! You've got an excellent life ahead.
