If you Google “sweet good girl,” we’re pretty sure Weazie’s photo will pop up. She's 7-years-young and full of spunk and life. Weazie was adopted a few years ago and recently needed to return to PAWS Atlanta, after her owner became ill. She came back as a full-figured lady and we all hoped she would find a human who could help her get to a healthier weight.
Our amazing volunteer, Wendy and her adorable family, decided to foster Weazie over Thanksgiving to give her a break from the shelter and help her lose some weight. Full of spunk and life, she fit right in constantly playing with her foster sibling Nora (on the left and a fellow PAWS Atlanta alumni).
It was clear their little black bear was home for good. They made her adoption official through Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters event. Her new name is Twyla and she adores sun bathing, chew toys, being the life of the party, and mostly her sister Nora. Her older sister, Katie (up top who was adopted from a rescue in Philly) is a wonderful sport and puts up with their nonstop shenanigans.
Twyla has already lost three pounds in their care! We're all so excited she found the perfect home with a loving family who will spoil her rotten.
