Volunteering at PAWS Atlanta

Make a difference in the lives of homeless animals

We wouldn't be able to care for over 1,000 cats and dogs every year without our compassionate and dedicated volunteers. Each year, our volunteers give hands-on care to animals, educate our community, provide administrative support, and more. We equip all volunteers with training, so no prior experience is required. Whether feeding orphaned puppies, finding homes for cats and kittens, or helping to make an event successful, you can be a part of the life-saving work we do!

There are opportunities at PAWS Atlanta for individuals, groups, and youth. Volunteers on site at PAWS Atlanta are required to be over 18, whether an individual or in a group. However, tours are open to all regardless of age. Click the corresponding tab on the right to learn more about each of these exciting options!

Have any questions or need more information? Reach out to our Volunteer and Database Coordinator, Sam Long! Sam joined our team in February 2022, and she's already making a huge difference. Her love for both people and animals is clear in everything she does - fostering pets, building relationships with volunteers, and making friends with everyone she meets. Outside of PAWS Atlanta, she loves hanging out with her 2 dogs and 2 cats (Ronnie, Phoebe, Evie, and Jimmy). Feel free to contact her at slong@pawsatlanta.org!
